CHADWICK WALTON: THE EVER-RELIABLE GLOVEMAN
Chadwick Walton is a right-handed top order wicket-keeper batsman, who’s been around West Indies cricket for a substantial amount of time. Born on 3rd July 1985, in Jamaica, Walton made his name by playing in University XIs. His performances there, led him to an international call-up as a backup wicket-keeper against Bangladesh in 2009 where he made sudden impact with the gloves to achieve the record of 5 dismissals in an innings.
Along with his tidy glovework, Walton matured to be an excellent batter at the top of the order. He made his name as an enforcing batter at the top where he used to just take on the bowlers right from the get go. Walton has managed to score over 3000 runs in his T20 career and has been a key benefactor in taking his team to victory.
Over the years, Chadwick has matured into someone who plays according to the situation and has leveled up his temperament, where he adjusts as per that particular situation. His addition to TKR as a top order batter is a beneficial one where he will look to make the most of the opportunities he gets and take full toll of the powerplay. Walton, will be looking forward to transcending his reputation into match-winning performances for the Knights throughout the season.
