Trinbago Knight Riders entered their final home game of CPL 2026 determined to bounce back strongly, return to winning ways and finish their home leg on a high. The whole squad was eager to put together a complete all-round performance, with their experienced campaigners ready to step up and lead the charge. With the team taking the field with another victory firmly in their sights, the passionate TKR faithful once again rallied behind their side, creating the energy and atmosphere that has become synonymous with Knight Riders cricket at home.
Bowling first, TKR's attack worked hard to keep the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons within reach throughout their innings. Usman Tariq produced another impressive spell, conceding just 25 runs from his four overs while picking up an important wicket. The Knight Riders continued to apply pressure and looked for breakthroughs at regular intervals as ABF built their innings. TKR kept competing throughout the 20 overs, with the bowling unit working collectively to restrict the Falcons to 183/4. Despite a strong contribution from Hasan Nawas, the Knight Riders remained disciplined and ensured they had a challenging but achievable target to chase.
TKR’s run chase began with intent as they looked to make the most of the opportunity in front of their home supporters. Joshua Da Silva stepped up brilliantly, producing an excellent unbeaten 54 off 31 balls and providing stability and momentum throughout the innings. He was well supported by Kieron Pollard, who contributed a valuable 41 off 36 balls as the experienced campaigner helped guide the innings through the middle overs. TKR continued to push towards the target and finished at 175/7, coming up short by eight runs of the Falcons' total. The Knight Riders showed determination and character right through to the final over, with Da Silva's composed knock and Pollard's experience providing plenty of positives. TKR will take up the positives from this game and aim to come back stronger in the next game.
