Trinbago Knight Riders Women were gunning to continue their impressive run in WCPL 2026, looking to carry their winning momentum forward and deliver another commanding performance. With the squad beginning to gel together beautifully, TKR Women consist of brilliant all-round performers stepping up across departments. The fans were excited to see the Knight Riders back in action, and the team aimed to respond with a dominant display from start to finish.
Jamaica Empress were sent in to bat first, but TKR Women’s bowling attack immediately took control and kept the pressure on throughout the innings. Marizanne Kapp set the tone with an excellent spell of 1/6 in 4 overs, while Karishma Ramharack produced a brilliant 3/11 in 3overs. Laura Harris added two more wickets for just 10 runs in her two overs as TKR consistently found breakthroughs. Rashada Williams top-scored with 40 off 47 as Jamaica Empress finished on 100/8 in 20 overs.
The TKR Women then produced a superb chase, making light work of the target with an outstanding batting display. Laura Harris provided the early impetus with 22 off 18 before Yastika Bhatia took charge and delivered a brilliant unbeaten 57 off 34 balls. Captain Deandra Dottin joined her with an unbeaten 22 off 15, guiding the chase with confidence and composure. TKR Women raced to 104/1 in just 11.1 overs, securing a commanding nine-wicket victory and further strengthening their impressive WCPL 2026 campaign.
