TOP 5 KNOCKS FROM THE KNIGHTS THIS SEASON | CPL 2023
The Knights have been very consistent with the bat throughout the season and all the batters have contributed to the team's victory at a certain point of time in the tournament. Here are the top 5 knocks from the TKR batters this season:
1. NICKY P’S SCINTILLATING CENTURY AGAINST BR:
Nicholas Pooran justified his promotion at no 3 by scoring a stunning century against the Barbados Royals leading the Knights to a comfortable win. This innings marked an interesting turn of events, where a mis-communication led to an unfortunate run-out of Skipper Polly, but he asked Pooran to bat till the end and he did exactly that and stayed not out on 102 of just 53 balls.
2. MARTIN GUPTILL’S SENSATIONAL TON AGAINST BR:
Martin Guptill stood tall against the Royals to score an amazing century leading to the Knights reaching a huge total and also beating BR by a big margin. Marty took his time to get going as wickets kept falling around him but once he got going, there was no stopping him and he finished not out on a score of 100 off 58 balls.
3. CHADWICK WALTON’S CRAFTY KNOCK IN THE QUALIFIER 1:
Walton impressed everyone with his skill and temperament in an important run-chase against Guyana as he kept his cool and took the team to a commanding victory. Chadwick brought all his experience to the fray as he stood his ground firmly and finished the run-chase by staying not out on 80 runs.
4. MARK DEYAL’S CRUCIAL FIFTY IN AN IMPORTANT RUN-CHASE AGAINST SLK:
Deyal showed his class against SLK as he scored a flawless half-century in an important run-chase. Playing in front of his family and home crowd, Deyal showed everyone the skills he possesses. Skipper Polly showered praise on the opener after the innings making it even more special for Mark.
5. KEACY CARTY’S STUNNING KNOCK ON TKR DEBUT:
Carty came out all guns blazing on his debut to score 83 off just 49 balls to fire TKR to a respectable total against GAW. He batted with a lot of poise and authority and did not allow the nerves to surface.
