The TKR women played their first-ever WCPL game in their home Trinidad at the Queen’s Park Oval. The game was much looked forward to by everyone as the tournament came to Trinidad for the first time.

The Knights were put into bowl first on a pitch which looked quite ideal to bat on. The bowlers started off by hitting their line and lengths and maintaining a great amount of accuracy in execution. The TKR women never allowed the opposition batters to settle with their attacking bowling backed up by some amazing fielding. The duo of Marie Kelly and Anisa Mohammed picked up 4 wickets each and stemmed the flow of runs. Anisa, picked up the crucial wicket of Sophie Devine, who was looking in good touch, and then the bowlers continued the attack to restrict GAW-W for 132 runs.

The chase began with some crisp shots from Marie Kelly and a good partnership between her and Kycia Knight. The World Boss - Deandra Dottin was back to lead TKR women this game and she left an instant impact on the game as she scored 35 of just 19 balls at a whopping strike-rate of 184. She took on the challenge straightaway and kept putting pressure on the opposition bowlers. The Knights kept loosing wickets but still they continued to fight  till the end. They took the game as deep as they could but in the end fell short by a close margin of 22 runs. The Knights will take plenty of positives from this game and will look to make a strong comeback in the next match.
