The Knights faced off against Guyana in the final of CPL 2023. The table-toppers of the league stages turned out to be the finalists, which was quite fitting and this was the most anticipated game of all season. The fans were looking forward to their favourite team winning the title.

The Knights were put into bat first on a tough looking pitch by Guyana. The TKR batters faced the heat and found it difficult to assess the conditions. Yet, the Knights continued to put forth a fight. Keacy Carty proved to be a lone-warrior trying to take TKR to a respectable total. The Knights ended up setting a target of 95 for Guyana.

The TKR bowlers came out with a fight and made it very difficult for the opposition batters to get any kind of momentum. Akeal Hosein picked up the crucial wicket of Keemo Paul in the third over itself, giving TKR a chance to come back in the game. However, the Ayub-Hope partnership helped Guyana to a win. It wasn’t exactly the final, TKR must have dreamt off but it has been an excellent campaign for the Knights this season. After last season, the kind of comeback the Knights put forth is a testament to their determination, courage & hard-work. The TKR unit, the support staff, the fans and everyone will be very proud of the campaign they had this season.
