The Knights took on the Guyana Amazon Warriors Women in their final league stage game of this season at the Brian Lara Stadium, in Trinidad. The TKR women were gunning to take on the game and get the win in their bag to qualify for the finale.

The Knights won the toss and chose to bat first and looked to put runs on the board. They started off steady with a conservative approach and looked to establish a strong base for the innings. However, they kept loosing wickets at constant intervals which took the momentum away from them. Skipper Deandra Dottin tried to keep things together, however it wasn’t enough as the TKR women’s innings was wrapped up on 78 runs with Dottin top-scoring with 25.

The bowlers had an uphill task defending such a low total, yet they gave their best effort. The Knights bowlers looked to attack the batters and take as many wickets as possible. The opponents had a strong start, yet it was the skipper Deandra Dottin who provided the breakthrough and picked the wicket of the dangerous Suzie Bates. However, the total being less, the TKR women ended up on the loosing side despite giving their best. The Knights will reassess this season and will definitely be looking to come back stronger next season to win their second WCPL trophy.
