Asked to bowl first, TKR Women showed good discipline with the ball and looked to control the innings from the outset. Deandra Dottin, ever the reliable leader, struck with two crucial breakthroughs to keep the Royals Women in check, while the other bowlers maintained pressure through tight lines and variations. Despite a steady partnership from the opposition, TKR’s bowlers ensured the scoring never truly got away from them, restricting the Royals to 137/6 in 20 overs, a total that was competitive, but one that still gave TKR belief heading into the chase.

Chasing 138 for victory, TKR Women looked to get off to a solid start and build momentum through the middle overs. Lizelle Lee stood tall with a determined innings of 39 runs, holding the batting effort together against a disciplined Royals attack. Though wickets fell at regular intervals around her and the team eventually fell short of the target, the fighting spirit shown on the field was evident. TKR Women will take the positives from this outing and look ahead with confidence and determination to come back stronger in the games to come.
