Trinbago Knight Riders Women were gunning to continue their impressive run in WCPL 2026, looking to carry their winning momentum forward and give their very best on the field. With the squad gelling together and brilliant all-round performers contributing across departments, TKR Women were eager to put together another strong performance. The fans were excited to see the Knight Riders in action once again, rallying behind the team as they looked to put on a dominant show.

Bowling first, TKR Women’s bowling attack kept things under control throughout, regularly creating pressure and picking up important wickets. Shikha Pandey produced an excellent spell of 2/9 in 4 overs, while Marizanne Kapp and Deandra Dottin picked up two wickets apiece to keep the Warriors in check. TKR continued to fight throughout the innings and restricted GAW-W to 119/8 in 20 overs, giving themselves a target to chase.

Chasing 120, TKR Women battled hard against a disciplined bowling attack and continued to push towards the target. Madeline Penna provided an important contribution with 28 off 22 balls, while Shikha Pandey remained unbeaten on 15 off 20, fighting until the very end. The Knight Riders kept working to build partnerships and find a way through, but were eventually restricted to 94/9 in 20 overs. Despite falling short, TKR Women showed determination throughout the chase, with their earlier bowling effort and individual contributions providing plenty of positives for the team to build on.
