Batting first, TKR Women made a positive start and looked to build a strong platform with the bat. Yastika Bhatia provided stability at the top with a composed 35 off 28 deliveries, while Laura Harris shifted the momentum into another gear with an attacking 38 off just 19 balls. The TKR batting unit continued to push for runs throughout the innings, maintaining a strong scoring intent before finishing on an impressive 155 all out in 20 overs. Their collective effort gave the TKR-W a competitive total and a strong platform to defend.

With the ball, TKR Women produced a disciplined and determined performance to protect their total. Barbados Tridents Women looked to build momentum early in the chase, but TKR's bowling attack continued to create pressure and pick up wickets at regular intervals. Shikha Pandey led the way with an outstanding 3/17 in 3.4 overs, while Samara Ramnath added two crucial wickets with an excellent spell of 2/16. The TKR-W kept the Tridents in check throughout the innings, eventually bowling them out for 134 in 18.4 overs to secure a convincing 21-run victory and open their WCPL 2026 campaign on a winning note.
