After being put into bat, TKR endured a shaky beginning but quickly found their footing through the calm assurance of Alex Hales and the flair of captain Nicholas Pooran. The pair stitched together a crucial 73-run stand, mixing calculated aggression with sharp running between the wickets to tilt the balance in TKR’s favor. Once the foundation was set, the fireworks followed as Kieron Pollard unleashed his power against spin, while Andre Russell produced a typically brutal finishing burst. Defending the target, the TKR bowlers set the tone with discipline and consistency, ensuring that SLK were never allowed to break free. While the pacers applied pressure up front, it was the spinners who truly dismantled the opposition’s chase. Sunil Narine was at his magical best, weaving through the batting lineup with 3/18, while Usman Tariq provided excellent support as the duo shared seven wickets between them. The Kings faltered under this relentless assault, eventually finishing well short as TKR sealed a resounding 56-run victory. With this triumph, the Knights stormed into their sixth CPL final, riding a wave of confidence and eager to bring the trophy back home to Trinidad.
